Aaron Fuchs

Co-founder & CEO

"At first, iX was a passion project, then it became a profitable business, and has since shifted into something bigger. We have a significant responsibility to create something that impacts people's lives, whether it's the students who use the products we deliver, or our employees and the experience they have in the business."

Rafi Khan

Co-founder & CTO

"Until COVID, the education industry has not seen this type of change and innovation in a hundred years, and in a way we have a hundred years of debt, of things that have not changed. Now is the time to be in this space, to lead humanity into a new era of teaching and learning."

Our story.

From coding bootcamp to global career development platform.

The iX founders were both incredibly grateful for their Yale undergraduate experience, but felt there was something fundamentally lacking from their four years on campus. They were high on theoretical knowledge, but low on skills. The material they had learned was already out of date by the time they graduated. They dreamed of creating a company that prepared students for the future, inspired them to challenge themselves and push them out of their comfort zones where limitless learning takes place.

iXperience started in 2013 as a study abroad coding bootcamp that would bridge the gap between academia and industry. Since then, it's grown into a global operation that has helped more than 2500 students accelerate their careers while exploring the world. Throughout, our focus has stayed on creating authentic connections within our community. We go to great lengths to get to know our students, teachers, and partner companies, which we believe has been instrumental to our success.

2014

The first iX students arrive in Cape Town! They love the opportunity to gain new skills, work at an international company, and explore a beautiful city.

2015

The close connections students form with each other and their teachers—in addition to the quality of our education—is a massive driver of iX's initial growth.

2016

As iX reaches students from more and more universities, we expand our course offerings to span software, data, design, business, virtual reality, and more.

2017

iX goes global and launches campuses in Lisbon and Berlin. Since, we've also launched programs in many other top global destinations.

2020

iX goes online! We launch the world's first summer remote and hybrid course-internship blended programs.

2021

iX raises capital from two top South African investment firms to create future-focused educational programs and services for a wide age range.

A strong track record of success.

We have a long history of teaching brilliant students, and helping them land jobs at the world's top firms.

We've taught more than 2000 students that hail from 200+ universities around the world, with more than 25% of our students coming from the top 20 ranked universities in the US—institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Penn, Duke, and Columbia.

Drew Lemke

University of Michigan

Landed a job at Procter & Gamble

"At iX, I learned so much about what it takes to be successful in business, how to land a job, how to communicate professionally, you name it. iX makes it possible for students to grow by unlocking valuable insights from experienced professionals."

Allie Ivener

University of Virginia

Landed a job at Microsoft

"When I first signed up for iXperience, I expected to just learn how to make web applications. I didn’t really know what exactly that would mean, but I never imagined it would contribute so heavily to me landing an internship at Microsoft."

Zack Chauvin

Harvard University

Landed a job at Facebook

"I picked up the valuable skill of web development, but the most valuable things I learned are those that can’t be taught at school. I learned how to be a creator, part of a team, and someone who runs with ideas, all while having a summer I’ll never forget."
