A curriculum that covers all the basics.
Each of the five sessions, held live and online, has pre-work, discussion points and a set of outcomes to maximise the impact on each student’s early professional development before their graduation from college.
Introduction.
Current circumstances, frustrations, high-level goals, expectations and meeting cadence. The student submits their resume to the coach either during or after the first session to create the pretext for the second.
Report building and resume editing.
The student will have submitted their resume to the coach ahead of time. This session is dedicated to reviewing, (re-)positioning, design and industry-specific requirements to set the student up for success in the future.
Cover letter writing and positioning.
The student will identify specific companies or positions they’re interested in and draft a hypothetical cover letter for their application. This session will center on reviewing and adapting the cover letter for maximum success.
Interview prep and key skills.
Once the student has submitted a redrafted resume and cover letter, the focus shifts to educating the student about types of interviews in their chosen field, preparation techniques, typical questions to ask and be asked, and more.
Mock interview and debrief.
With interview prep done, the final session will be dedicated to doing a mock interview with the student, giving feedback to the student, advice and support, and the potential to negotiate further sessions at an additional fee.
