Matthew Biggins, iX Alum

Studied Economics at Notre Dame

"iX was the first thing employers asked about during interviews. No experience compares to the ability to learn a completely new skill and deliver multiple complex projects. On the job, iX has been incredibly useful. Most of the analytics work I do today is based off of what I learned while at iX."

Improving people's livelihoods.

An example of the kind of project you'll be working on.

You will work in a team to address a pressing problem in Africa. These include identifying vulnerable households in rural South Africa, forecasting flood frequency and severity in Malawi and predicting traffic congestion and package delivery times in Kenya. Your team will be tasked with cleaning the data and building a machine learning model that provides actionable insights to improve the livelihoods of the local community. In doing so, you will gain hands-on experience applying the techniques that we cover in class to solve a real-world problem.

Expert teachers who care about you as an individual.

We limit class sizes so that teachers are able to give undivided support and feedback to each student. You’ll be given valuable perspective and expert input the entire time.
Dr. Claire Davis-Reddy
