Morgan Zagerman, iX Alum

Student @ Stanford University

"iX pushed me to make work that I had no idea I could make. We were taught by such amazing designers, and they held us to such a high standard and made us want to do really good work."

Our UX & UI Design alumni have gone on to work at:

First, build an in-depth, practical skill set.

iXperience classes prepare you to create value with just a few weeks of intensive learning.
Design Fundamentals

The psychology of colors, lines, shapes, textures, fonts. The power of space, rhythm, composition, structure.

User Research

Learn to form hypotheses, then go out to real people to collect data and test your assumptions.

Rapid Prototyping

Prototyping, sketching, and wireframing—essential techniques for experimentation and brainstorming.

Mock Websites & Apps

Learn to design across screen sizes and interaction paradigms.

Human-computer Interaction

Learning how to organize information architecture on digital interfaces for users to navigate through different web and iOS experiences.

Visual Identity

Understand the brand value and how to apply brand guidelines to product development taking into account brand story, personality, and core values.

Then, apply your skills towards a real client project.

Get a taste of what it's like to apply your skills in the real world, while strengthening your resume.

Improving non-profit usability

Example project you may work on

Your client is a non-profit organisation that provides support to victims of gender-based violence, as well as access to social justice. They’ve had extremely limited funding to date and operate simply off an old Wordpress site. They’ve noticed that visitors to their site access different pages, but seldom go on to seek access to social justice services or local welfare services. Working in teams, your task is to build a wireframe and prototype of a new site that will increase usage and access for all of the services provided by the non-profit.

Expert teachers who care about you as an individual.

We limit class sizes and empower teachers to give individualized support and feedback to every student. You’ll gain invaluable perspective, and a mentor who will advise you throughout the program.

Introducing the iX Bootcamp Online Program.

iX courses focus on rigor, engagement, and community.
Rigorous & practical

Your class projects will be connected to industry, in a format that you can show future employers.

You'll have class daily, along with in-depth readings and assignments that will challenge you to learn quickly.

Small class sizes

We cap classes at 30 students, which means you'll get to know your classmates and teachers individually.

We teach engaging, live seminar-style classes—not massive, streamed lectures. Expect lots of discussion and group work.

Frequent feedback

Your head teacher and TAs will review your work and give you actionable feedback to improve.

They'll also provide guidance and support for your project, helping you achieve more than you could in ordinary working environments.

Earn a certificate and showcase your work.

You can share your Course Certificates in the Certifications section of your LinkedIn profile, on printed resumes, CVs, or other documents.

Thoughts from our alumni.

Kwambata Ngatia

University of Chicago

"iX taught me to understand that UX design does not really require any new skills. Rather it focuses on using existing knowledge and applications to make things anew and/or better than they were before. It is closer to looking at the world through new and varying perspectives. This experience has been exciting, rewarding, and inspiring to see where this new-found perspective can bring me in the future."

Made to be affordable.

We offer need-based financial aid and scholarships to enable access to our programs.
